Who is the bpma?
The bpma (British Promotional Merchandise Association) represents over 650 manufacturers and distributors of promotional merchandise. Its members are referenced and credit checked in order to receive the full accreditation, giving reassurance to buyers.
What is the bpma Design Innovation Award?
This is the first nationwide student design award and its aims are to embrace young designers in coming up with the next best promotional product that has wide and commercial application.
What are the prizes?
The cash prizes total £2500, comprising a top prize for a single entrant of £600, and a top shared prize for a joint/team entry of £600, followed by 2nd and 3rd cash prizes, and 10 runner-up prizes of £50 each. In addition, a full feature of the winner in a leading promotions or design magazine. The !st, 2nd and 3rd placed finalists will receive a certificate and a 3M goodie box worth over £50.

All students currently studying a design course can enter.

No, this competition is free to enter.
What is the final date for entry?
30th May 2011.
When will the results be known?
The judges will consider the applications and invite the top 10 applications to present their proposals.
The winner will be announced 30th August 2011.
How will the work be judged?
The judges will work to a set criteria.
When will the certificates be forwarded to the winners?
Immediately after the winners have been announced.
Will the winners be advertised?
Yes on the website.
Will my work be returned to me after the competition?
Your work will not be returned to you so please make sure you have a copy of your work.
